USA Rugby South Faces Austria as Central Europe Tour Continues

USA Rugby South vs. Austria

The USA Rugby South Panthers squad is traveling today to Vienna, Austria and will train before playing the Austria national team tomorrow at Meiereistraße 20, 1020 Wien in Vienna. The team is fresh off a 35-12 win over the Hungarian National team on August 26. The team’s final match will be on September 1 against the Czech Republic National team.

For anyone who has gone on a rugby tour, it bonds players together for life. The cultural aspects of a tour provide lifetime memories and the exposure to diversity also proves to be invaluable. Some of these aspects will be addressed by players as the tour continues.

On August 27, the team was able to have a taste of Budapest, touring some of the historical sites and ending up the day cruising day the Danube River. Today the team will travel to Vienna by train and then have a training session. Tomorrow is the match against Austria, which is coached by David John Conyers, who previously coached the USA Rugby South Panthers. Prior to leaving Vienna, the team will be able to see some of the sites prior to leaving for Prague.
