AUSTIN, TX– Elite Rugby Management is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Macri as Director of Athletic Performance.“Macri will oversee player welfare plans, with the rest of our team management, ensuring the health, well-being and fitness development of players along with HIA and major injury protocols” Quoted Alain Hyardet, Head Coach

Prior to joining Austin Elite Rugby, Macri served as an Athletic Performance Coach at Baylor University working with Football and Track & Field for the 2017/18 season. Macri also spent time at Sparta Science as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant in 2017.

Macri spent 5 years (2012-2016) at the South Sydney Rabbitohs as the Sport Scientist and Head Trainer. Throughout his time at the Rabbitohs, they won the NRL Premiership (2014), the Auckland Nines (2015) and the World Club Challenge (2015).

He was also the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the North Sydney Bears (2010-2011), the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Brewer Swimming (2009-2012) as well as a Sport Science Assistant at the New South Wales Institute of Sport (2008-2012).
