Northeast Men’s & Women’s Qualifier

In the Northeast, the men will be participating in their third qualifier, and for the women, they’ll be going into their second. The men’s three qualifying spots for Nationals appear to be almost known. In the first two tournaments, the first three teams were Old Blue, Mystic River, and New York Athletic Club. With two qualifiers left, nothing can be taken for granted, but the final qualifiers may be used to determine seedings for nationals. Of interest in this tournament is the entry of the Bulldogs, who are playing this Summer in the Frontier Region. White Plains and Long Island are also competing.

The women are entering their second of three qualifiers, with New York Rugby Club and Beantown finishing first and second in the first qualifier. A similar result could have both teams earning a spot at nationals this weekend. Empire Selects and Boston will be looking to push their rivals to the end of the qualification. Albany is also competing.
