USA Rugby South Prepare for RAN U19 15s Championships


USA Rugby South Release

The South Panthers won this tournament in 2016 and 2017. Rugby players interested in defending our title must be born January 1, 1999, or later. The 2018 RAN Men’s U19 tournament will be held in Mexico City. Players must have a valid passport, attend camps and have the ability to cover travel & tour expenses.

Camps & Events
• April 28th – Identification Camp – Atlanta, GA Saturday 1-day Camp 1:00 – 4:30
• May 19/20th – Smokey Mountain Camp & Altitude Training. Meet Saturday in Knoxville for Rugby Field Training 1:00- 4:30. Sunday 9:00- 12:00 meet at Clingmans Dome to train at 6600’.
• June 9/10th – MTSU Camp & Scrimmages. Meet Saturday at 12:00-4:30 for Camps that will include Tennessee, Georgia, Missouri and other state all-star programs. Sunday Camp and Scrimmages 9:00- 12:00. Murfreesboro, TN
• July 3-15th – RAN Men’s U19 Assembly & Tournament – Mexico City Meet in Atlanta on July 3rd at 12:00. Practices & Meetings scheduled through team Departure to Mexico City on July 5th. Tournaments end on July 14th. Travel back to the USA on July 15th.

ALL Players must be current with USA Rugby CIPP Player Registration – Complete the USA Rugby South Player Form and submit a $35 registration fee During camps and try-outs, please wear a numbered jersey, rugby shorts, and cleats. Also, bring a mouthpiece and your own tape and or braces if needed. Please bring plenty of water and snacks. Players are selected by participation in camps, and events.

Panther 7’s
USA Rugby South competes in the NORTH AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL 7’s (NAHS7’s) an elite Championship 7’s Series with international teams from USA, Canada, and across North America.
Players shall be selected from player pools from previous tournaments and from players who attend the camps listed above.
• May 30 – June 3rd – College Rugby Championships (CRC) 7s in Philadelphia – Boys/Girls High school open & Boys High school elite teams will compete in their own tournament and be able to see the top collegiate rugby programs in the USA.
• August 1-5th – NORTH AMERICAN INVITATIONAL 7s in Salt Lake City, UT Boys/Girls High school, boys u14/u16.
