The Seattle Seawolves have signed 32 year old Prairie Wolf Pack center and 2015 Canadian Rugby Championship titlest, Mozac Samson.

Mozac Samson was born in Fiji and began playing rugby as a youngster. He moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2005, after graduating from high school to continue his education and began playing for the Fort McMurray Knights. He later joined the Calgary Saints Rugby Football Club and has played representative rugby for the Prairie Wolf Pack since 2009.

Samson was part of the Canadian Sevens training squad from 2011 until 2015 before being called up to the Canada 15s team in 2016 for the Americas Rugby Championship. In 2015, he won the Canadian Rugby Championship with the Prairie Wolf Pack while earning the title of top try scorer for the tournament.

Seawolves Head Coach Tony Healy said, “Mozac’s speed and agility is a strong addition to our back line. We are happy to have him join the Seawolves family.”

Sampson said, “I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to play for the Seattle Seawolves; a team with an already impressive group of players and exceptional coaching staff. it’s amazing to play in the inaugural season of MLR and I am looking forward to seeing the league grow and expand – this league will provide so many opportunities to develop North American players into a force on the world stage.”
