Houston SaberCats & Mo Mascary

The Houston SaberCats have added Mo Mascary to the team at wing, as a replacement for Jonny Marcel Harrison. Moravia “Mo” is 28 years old, 6’0″ and 200 pounds.

Mascary was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, but was raised in Boston, Massachusetts.  He currently lives in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Mascary attended West Roxbury High School in Boston and graduated in 2008. After graduation, he attended Roxbury Community College, where he played football and ran the 400-meter hurdles in track. He then transferred to Pittsburg State in Kansas in 2014. There he was a walk-on football player and also played rugby.

During Summer 2014, he played rugby league for Boston 13 Rugby League. He then played for the Vegas Selects in 2015, attended the Atavus Residence Rugby Academy in 2016, and also played for the Kansas City Blues in 2014-2017. The Blues list him on their roster as a versatile player, who can play lock, flanker, center, wing or fullback.

Pro Rugby Agency signed Mo in 2016 to a two-year contract. ““At this point in my life I am 100% rugby I eat sleep dream rugby.” Says Mo Mascary. Greg Tanner adds “Mo has athletic ability, speed and agility and is a superior tackler. He has a physical presence in games that brings the backs to a high level.”
