New Orleans Gold Assistant Coach Dr. Todd Fitzgerald

New Orleans Rugby Club Release

“Meet our assistant coach— Dr. Todd Fitzgerald, D.C., a native of New Orleans, graduated from local rugby powerhouse Jesuit High School in 1992. From there he spent four years at the University of Miami honing his skills as a backline player. After graduating in 1996, Fitzgerald returned to New Orleans where he played with New Orleans RFC for three years, being named Most Valuable Back. Fitzgerald was an integral part of a resurgent New Orleans squad that was promoted to Division I following an unprecedented 33 match win streak.

In the fall of 2000, Fitzgerald was accepted into the chiropractic program at the veritable rugby institution, LIFE University. Fitzgerald’s vision and crisp backline play earned him Rookie Honors following his first season at Life. After some mercenary years playing in Chicago for the Griffins and Woodsmen, Fitzgerald returned to New Orleans where he again played and then coached NORFC with great distinction. Fitzgerald was a player on New Orleans 2011 and 2012 national championship squads and was an assistant coach for New Orleans’ 2013 DI national final-four birth and its 2014 national championship appearance.”
