USA Men’s Eagles Face Germany in Wiesbaden

The USA Rugby Men’s Eagles face Germany in Wiesbaden on Saturday. The kickoff will be at 5 pm local time, 11 am Eastern, and 8 am Pacific. Live broadcasts will be available on sport1 in Germany and on The Rugby Channel in the United States.

The USA is currently ranked 17th by World Rugby, while Germany is 22nd. Germany has improved immensely and can not be taken lightly. Last weekend, Germany defeated Brazil 45-12 in Leipzig and a match recap is available from Americas Rugby News.

This is the first of the Eagles two match November tour. They play the 12th ranked Georgia the following Saturday.

Germany Head coach Kobus Potgieter has made three changes to the side that played the Tupis last weekend. Julius Nostadt returns at loosehead prop. Christopher Hilsenbeck will be the flyhalf, and Hagen Schulte will debut at fullback.

The Eagles have made a couple of adjustments in the squad with Eric Fry out due to hernia surgery and Hanco Germishuys attending to personal matters. They were replaced on the squad by Huluholo Moungoloa and Psalm Wooching, respectively. Both would earn their first cap should they enter the match.
