Austin Elite Rugby – Sani Taylor

Austin Elite Rugby has signed Sani Taylor at wing for the 2018 Major League Rugby season. Sani is 26 years old, 6’1”, 210lbs, and is excited to bring his experience to a professional team.

Taylor is from Hawaii and graduated from Kaiser High School in Honolulu where he played football. He also played for the Titan Rugby Club and the Hawaii Harlequins. In 2014, while with the Quins, his team-mate was Thierry Daupin, a flyhalf, who became General Manager and one of the owners of Austin Elite Rugby.

Taylor also attended the International Rugby Academy of New Zealand and played for the Wellington Axemen during the 2014-2015 season.

During the 2016-2017 season, he played for the Austin Huns, who won the USA Rugby Club Division 1 Championship. He also played for the USA Islanders against the Aviva Premiership Saracens for the 2017Atlantic Cup in Bermuda. While there, the team assisted Beyond Rugby Bermuda working with youth rugby.
