Oxford University Men’s Rugby Release: September 7, 2017

Men’s Blues Tour Party Announced

Captain Conor Kearns has selected a party of thirty-one players for the Men’s Blues tour to the US, departing on Friday September 8th for two weeks. The party will fly into Boston, and work there way down the east coast, visiting Ivy League Universities – Harvard, Yale and Princeton – as well as the US Military Academy at West Point and ending up in New York for the final three days. The ‘showpiece’ fixture takes place against the Collegiate All American XV in Philadelphia, as the curtain raiser to the Aviva Premiership match between Newcastle Falcons and Saracens.

The tour party is a blend of youth and experience, with nine returning Blues making the trip, alongside two undergraduate Freshers, five experienced graduate players in scrum-half Sam Edgerley, centre Dom Waldouck, flanker Andy Saull, lock Lisi Fifita, hooker Ed Elvin and wing Dan Moor and seventeen returning players looking to impress Kearns and Head Coach James Wade.
