Premiership Rugby & Friends of the British Council Conduct USA Rugby Clinics

On September 5, the first Premiership Rugby Clinic was conducted at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey. In advance of the Premiership Rugby Newcastle Falcons vs. Saracens match on September 16th at Talen Energy Stadium, Premiership Rugby along with Friends of the British Council are conducing both player and coaching clinics in New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
These clinics would not be possible without the support of USA Rugby, Premiership Rugby, Friends of the British Council, AEG Rugby and NBC Sports.
Rugby scholarships for players and coaches and clinic registration information is listed below.
Clinic at Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, NJ
Three age group clinics were held from 4:15 pm to 7:15pm on September 5th at Christian Brothers Academy. Former Eagle Dallen Stanford, who is a rugby coach and broadcaster, led the Premiership Rugby/ Friends of the British Council clinic along with James Walker of Tiger Rugby. Erin Sullivan, Executive Director of Friends of the British Council, coordinated the Clinic events.
Dom Caton, Premiership & Delivery Manager at Premiership Rugby, Newcastle Falcons Academy Coaches James Ponton and Keith Robinson,as well as Saracens Academy Coach Gareth Hatherly-Hurford, led the third group session.
Pat Moroney, Head Coach of Christian Brothers Academy and his other coaches and players were in attendance. Pat is also the Empire Rugby GU Vice president for Communications, as well as the Rugby New Jersey Sevens Coach.
At the clinic there were opportunities to interview the coaches and to speak with Erin Sullivan. The interviews and other photos/videos may be viewed below.
