Rugbytown 7s: Infinity Park

Infinity Park – Rugbytown USA Release

Glendale’s own RugbyTown 7s Tournament returns August 25-27, 2017 bigger and better than ever. Boasting fast‐paced, high‐caliber rugby that promises to impress, the weekend‐long tournament features a premier talent pool consisting of twenty top domestic, military and international teams including Gold Medalists from Team Fiji. Completing the festival atmosphere known to rugby sevens tournaments, don’t miss Glendale’s Beerfest on Saturday at Infinity Park.

What is rugby sevens?

Rugby sevens has just seven players and features matches with two seven-minute halves. The short duration of these matches makes every play important, with speed and stamina proving to be key factors in the game.

Sevens rugby events have a reputation for having a feel-good atmosphere and the RugbyTown 7s tournament will be no exception with prizes, entertainment and contests all weekend long. The tournament will also feature “Glendale’s Bruises and Brews Beerfest” on Saturday with over 20 brewers and distilleries.

Games kick off each day at 11am (the stadium opens at 10am) with games running back to back until 9pm Friday, 7pm Saturday and 5pm on Sunday. A crowd favorite, the Mile Highlanders will be onsite Saturday and Sunday to provide additional entertainment with their unique brand of bag-pipe band entertainment.
