Strikers Rugby Release
Strikers Rugby is pleased to announce the signing of Houston native Christopher Slater. Chris is an Alumni of Cypress Ridge High School and Sam Houston State University where he played Corner Defensive Back for the #Bearkats. More recently Chris has been playing rugby in Canada in the prestigious BC Rugby Premier League for one of North Americas top rugby programs: James Bay Athletic Association where he played wing.
“I am thankful to have the opportunity to represent the strikers in the upcoming Major League Rugby season and blessed to be lucky enough to play in my home town. I am excited for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Coach Fitzpatrick, thank you for the selection. I look forward to making a major contribution to the team’s success this upcoming season.”
Coach Fitzpatrick said, “Chris is an exciting young back who joins the Strikers with a solid athletic resume and invaluable playing experience from his time playing in the BC Premier League with JBAA. We are excited to have him as part of the Strikers family and to be working with him.”
