Rugby Sevens to be retained in Summer 2024 Olympics

In breaking news, World Rugby has confirmed that rugby sevens will be retained in the 2014 Olympics as a sport.

After rugby sevens tremendous popularity at the Olympics in Rio, Olympics rugby will resume for the 2020 Games in Toyko 24 July to 9 August, 2020. In 2024 the Summer Games will either be held in Los Angles or Paris. The IOC met in Lausanne, Switzerland yesterday and approved retention of rugby for the 2024 Games.
