Strikers Rugby is pleased to announce the signing of Northern Irish Tight Head Prop Adam Macklin a product of the Ulster Rugby Official and Irish Rugby pathway having come through the famous Methodist College Belfast Rugby program has produced multiple Ulster and Irish rugby players over its long and storied history. Adam comes to the Strikers with experience in the PRO12 Rugby, European Cup, and the English Championship with Irish Provence Ulster and Rotherham Titans.

Adam said, “I am delighted to sign with the Houston Strikers and look forward to being reunited with Justin. I got on really well with Justin as a teammate during our time at Ulster together. I have only ever heard positive things about Justin’s coaching and I am excited to work with him. The prospect of being part of a new team and the new Major League Rugby competition is an outstanding opportunity.”

Strikers Head Coach, Justin Fitzpatrick said, “I am looking forward to working with Adam again, he is a great character with a strong work ethic and is a first-class tighthead prop who has a strong pedigree having represented Ireland schools, U19s & U20s before graduating into the Ulster senior side. Adam a big powerful prop forward able to impose his will on the opposition in the set piece while using his size and atheism to contribute around the park.”
