NSCRO/Penn Mutual Women’s 7’s Select Side

National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) Release: Medford, NJ 17 May 2017

The National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) is proud to announce the NSCRO/Penn Mutual Women’s 7’s Select Side team that will compete in the Collegiate Rugby Championships to be held at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia, PA on 02 – 04 June 2017.

This is the third outing for the program. The team competed in the 2016 CRC where they were seeded 16th and finished in 5th place followed by a trip to the Las Vegas Invitational where they lost in the semifinals to the eventual champions, the University of British Columbia.

The 2017 NSCRO/Penn Mutual Women’s 7s Select Team:

The team is again led by Mary Kate McNulty of Denison University who will captain the team for the third time. She is one of seven players from the team that competed in the LVI in March along with Ciara Pettinos, Nikki Ciccarelli, Erica Long, Hailey Thompson, Shae Ferguson and Kiara Long. They are joined by five players new to the program: Alexis Lines, Emily Lawson, Anna Hermann, Misha Green and Katelyn Comeau.

The team was selected by viewing players at the 2017 NSCRO Women’s National Championships and through the player recommendation process.

The program is open to all players on NSCRO teams. We have an open recommendation process and coaches can complete the Player Recommendation Form at any time.
