Men’s Pools announced for Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship

The 2017 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship will take place at Talen Energy Stadium on June 2-4, 2017. The men will begin pool play on Saturday June 3 with the Finals on Sunday, June 4.
The Women’s bracket will begin Friday, June 2 on the Academy fields outside the stadium and conclude on Sunday, June 4 with the finals and consolations games. The high school boys & girls will also begin play on Friday. The boys will play at Neumann University on Friday, while the girls will play at Drexel Vidas Sports Complex. On Saturday and Sunday, the matches will switch to the ACademy Fields outside the Stadium.
Both the Philadelphia Division and the NSCRO National 7s Championship will begin play on Saturday on the Academy Fields. Play will conclude on Sunday.
The Men’s CRC Division has most of the outstanding Men’s College rugby teams in the country. With 24 teams participating, the pool winner and the top two second place teams will advance to the cup quarterfinals on Sunday with the other teams playing for the Plate or Bowl.

On Saturday, June 3, there will be a Rugby IQ Q&A Session featuring USA Eagles Sevens Head Coach Mike Friday, Madison Hughes, Danny Barrett and Perry Baker at 1pm on the Main Festival Stage at Talen Energy Stadium. Rugby Today’s Pat Clifton will moderate this event where the presenters will discuss their Olympic experience, training regimens, playing in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and what it takes to perform at the highest level of rugby.
On Sunday, June 4, Coach Friday, USA Sevens Captain Madison Hughes, Danny Barrett and Perry Baker will conduct an attack clinic from 11:20am to 12:20pm at Academy Field 1. This is open to all attendees.
