Hawaii Rugby Union Championship: Marist v. Titans for Gold, Timberwolves v. Raiders for Bronze

On April 22, the Hawaii Rugby Union Men’s Semi-Finals were held. Marist Hawaii (#1 Seed) defeated the Timberwolves (#4 Seed) 26-22 and Titans Rugby (#2 Seed) won 37-29 over the Kalihi Raiders.
The Hawaii Rugby Union will conclude their season with the Men’s Championship featuring Marist Hawaii against the Titans. In the Bronze match, the Timberwolves will face the Raiders.
This will be the third meeting between Marist and the Titans. Both teams had 9-1 records with Marist beating the Titans 21-10 on February 25th, while the Titans won 31-27 on April 15. Marist Hawaii was awarded first place in the regular season over the Titans based on point differential in head to head meetings.
Both the Raiders and the Timberwolves were also tied in the standings for third place with 5-5 records. In head to head competition, the Timberwolves and the Kalihi Raiders split their regular season matches with the Timberwolves winning 27-12 on January 21, while the Kalihi Raiders beat the Timberwolves 51-17 on April 1. On the basis of head to head competition, the Kalihi Raiders took third place, while the Timberwolves ended in fourth place.
The Hawaii Harlequins ended their rugby 15s season in fifth place, while the West Oahu Leatherbacks ended in sixth.
