Strikers Rugby Name Sam Windsor Flyhalf, Backs Coach

Strikers Rugby Release

Strikers Rugby is delighted to announce Sam Windsor will be joining us as Flyhalf and Backs coach.
Sam is a product of the famous ACT Brumbies Rugby Academy in Australia. He has played for Ulster Rugby Official in the PRO12 Rugby competition and for English Aviva Premiership team Worcester Warriors.
Sam says: “I’m excited about my role with such an ambitious team and look forward to helping to build an environment which will produce long-term success. Their planned facilities will be on a par with, if not better than, many professional teams in Europe and in the southern hemisphere. I can’t wait to get to Houston and begin to help with building what I hope will become a legendary program.”
Strikers Head Coach, Justin Fitzpatrick said. “I’m thrilled a player and coach of Sam’s pedigree will be joining us. As a flyhalf, Sam’s talent and experience are unrivaled in North America. He will help lead the team on and off the field, providing confidence and direction. When I joined the Strikers, what drew me was the excellence of their management group; Sam fits right into that mold.”
The Strikers will announce further signings in the coming weeks. Our goal is to build a Rugby team and sports culture that gives the sports-mad city of Houston something to get truly excited about.

“Inspiring Houston to fall in love with Rugby.”
