Hawaii Rugby Union Results & Standings

The Hawaii Rugby Union began their league season on January 21 and it’s championship is set for April 29. Two more weeks of season makeup matches remain for matches cancelled on Feb 11 and 18. Women’s matches began on March 11.

Upon the conclusion of the League regular season, the top two teams will meet for the championship, while the third and fourth place teams will vie for third place. Currently, the top two teams are Marist and the Titans. Marist, who is undefeated, beat the Titans 21-10 on Feb 25th, the Titans only loss.

The third place match is shaping up to be between three teams. The Timberwolves at 4-4, the Raiders at 3-5 and the Harlequins at 2-6 are in contention. The Timberwolves and Harlequins will have difficult matches next week against the Titans and Marist, respectively, while the Raiders play the Leatherbacks, who are still striving for a win.

On April 15th the regular season will conclude with a potential key match with the Harlequins and Raiders. Marist will play the Titans with first place in the regular season at stake. The Timberwolves will face the Leatherbacks.

The Harlequins will need to win both weeks in order to earn a spot to contend for third place. Both the Timberwolves and Raiders appear to have the inside track right now.

Youth Rugby

Hawaii also has high school and youth boys and girls women teams in Oahu, Maui, and in the Big Island.
