IMG_3120

“Philadelphia-Whitemarsh RFC is seeking a head coach starting in the Fall of 2017. PWRFC is a men’s club in D2 MAC North, and recently moved up from D3 to D2 in 2014 and has made the D2 playoffs each year since. The ideal candidate has the leadership skills, strategic vision, and past coaching experience to help drive PWRFC to being a top national contender. Please reach out to President Tim Antoian (tim.antoian@gmail.com) if you are interested in discussing this opportunity.”

PWRFC Release

It’s with much solace that we announce our head coach, Kyle Antoian, will be stepping down at the conclusion of the Spring 2017 season. Kyle has been the head coach of PWRFC for the past 4 seasons. We owe much of our success and growth to his dedication and leadership both on and off the field. We are sad to see Kyle go, but know that he wont be far away, as he promises he will stay involved and help with much of the organization of the club.

Brief overview of the Club and Position

Philadelphia-Whitemarsh RFC is a Division 2 Men’s Side competing in the Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC). After a merger between Philadelphia Rugby Club and Whitemarsh Rugby Club in 1985, the club has set a standard of excellence from Division 3 to the previously dubbed Premier League under USA Rugby. Over the last 5 years, the club has competed at the highest levels – with one appearance in the Men’s D3 National Championship, among other regional and provincial league championships. Our vision is to set the standard of Men’s Rugby in the Philadelphia area while continuing to grow our club membership and alumni affiliation.

Currently there are approximately 45-50 registered players, which we aim to double over the next 5-10 years. Outside of the competitive spectrum, we engage players from various countries, backgrounds, and skill levels in an attempt to strengthen the meaning of being a Rugby Man. The ideal candidate will engulf themselves in similar values as well as drive the club towards its aspirations of winning a National Championship.
