Uruguay v Chile: Americas Rugby Championship Preview

The Americas Rugby Championship concludes on March 4. Uruguay will host Chile at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo with the kick-off at 3.10pm local time, 1:10pm ET. With a win, Uruguay will finish in third place, while Chile is seeking it’s first win in the 2017 ARC.

Uruguay has stayed with what has been working and have made very few changes.Santiago Arata was injured against Canada, so Guillermo Lijtenstein will start at scrumhalf and Lucas Durán  will be a reserve for both halfback positions.

In the forwards their are two changes with Diego Magno at lock and with Rodolfo Garese at flanker.

Chile

Bernard Charreyre has made seven changes to his squad that lost to the USA last week. Chile are still seeking their first win in the 2017 Championship, but will need to do this on the road.

Claudio Zamorano and Benjamín Soto return from their suspensions at loosehead prop and No.7., respectively. Cristóbal Niedmann is at blindside flank. Lucas Bordigoni may make his first appearance of the ARC as a reserve.

In the backs, Juan Pablo Larenas recalled at scrumhalf. Ricardo Sifri and José Ignacio Larenas are the centers, while Mauricio Urrutia gains his first ARC start at wing. Rodrigo Fernández also returns at fullback.
