Northeast Academy Announces Partnership With Tradeview Ltd.

Northeast Academy Release: Kaitlin McCabe

Northeast Academy has partnered with brokerage Tradeview Ltd., highlighting the organization’s commitment to character and resilient work ethic.

NERFU Academy Director John McGeachy said, “The Northeast Academy is excited to partner with Tradeview. [CEO Tim Furey] and his team’s commitment to help grow the sport through our sponsorship is greatly appreciated especially as we work to strengthen our development opportunity offerings in the Northeast.”

Tradeview Ltd. was established in 2004 with a particular vision: “To provide unmatched online trading solutions to a broad range of traders and investors around the world.” However, the group maintains that it is more than just a brokerage, as it provides clients with the latest trading technology, flexibility and 24-hour personal support with our cultivated team of industry professionals.

Aside from its professional purpose, however, the brokerage manages a specific sports marketing budget, which financially supports local rugby teams around the world. Hiring rugby players has been a significant ‘X Factor’ for Tradeview. Many of its employees have experiences playing rugby; CEO Tim Furey, for example, joined Old Blue of New York RFC in 2004.

According to Furey, current and former players possess “a proven character, accountability and

experience,” and their history of hard work and commitment on the pitch perfectly translate to the business world.

“The rugby player is a trained warrior who finds a way to turn things around and become successful,” Furey said. “Rugby players have been in the spotlight before. They understand the hard work and commitment it takes to make it there. They strive to make that happen in the business world. Perhaps most importantly, they thrive under this spotlight and pressure, and get the job done.”

This new sponsorship highlights the significant impact the Academy has had on national and international rugby. Director of High Performance Ryszard Chadwick explained, “Partners like this are key for our success. As the Academy becomes more professional it is a great comfort to know that we can rely on the likes of Tradeview to support Northeast Academy in our goals and vision and ultimately keep growing the standard of rugby and player quality in the Northeast.”

The Northeast Academy is a National Development Academy sanctioned by USA Rugby as the official designated pathway to the USA Eagles National Team selection for both Men and Women in the Northeast of America. With training locations in New York City, Boston and Buffalo, the Academy offers development in three distinct areas: elite player advancement; coach education; and local union enrichment; and has the ultimate goal to augment the skills of players and coaches alike, growing the game within the EMPIRE and NERFU Unions.
