Ohio State Men’s Rugby Dominant in Win Against University of Cincinnati

Ohio State Men’s Rugby opened their season with a 59-5 win at home against the University of Cincinnati at Fred Beekman Park.

Ohio State scored eleven tries in gaining the win. JoJo Erceno had five, team captain Aaron Thomas had a hat trick, Jack Walsh had a pair and Matt Stauder also added the first try of the match. Taylor Huff converted the first and fifth try in going two for seven on the night.

Cincinnati added the final try of the night. The University of Cincinnati entered the match after a win on August 2oth 59-17 against Xavier University. They will regroup and play the University of Kentucky at home on September 10.

Ohio State will savor the win and then focus this week on a challenging match against Bowling Green State University on September 10.
