Lindenwood Wins Red Bull University 7s Qualifier & Trip to England

The Red Bull University 7s USA Qualifier was held on August 25th at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado. Eight of the best collegiate Rugby 7’s teams in the country competed to represent the U.S. for the Red Bull Uni 7’s international tournament in Bath, England on September 17, 2016. The international tournament will see 11 of the best universities from across the world compete in the global finals.
Each university making it to the Finals must prove themselves as the best in their country by winning a national competition, which in turn qualifies them for the final shoot-out at the Recreation Ground in Bath, United Kingdom, on September 17, 2016. That shoot-out will see the 10 qualified universities – plus reigning champions and hosts Bath University – battle through group stages, with the top two teams going on to play in the final in front of a capacity 14,000 crowd as a warm-up to a Bath Rugby Aviva Premiership clash.
Lindenwood University Men’s Rugby Club will be representing the USA in England. They won 26-10 over Arizona State University in the Cup Final.
