Girl’s HS All-Americans Defeat Rugby Québec in First Matches

The Girl’s High School All-Americans powered by Atavus U16s and U18s played Rugby Québec yesterday in the first of two matches in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The U16s had a dominant performance winning 71-0, while the U18s made it a double, winning 48-5.
In the U16 match, both Fane ‘Eti’ Haungatau, a prop, and Salote Tausinga at fullback, scored hat tricks. Addison Horsley at #8 added a pair of tries, while Joanna Skucek (#7), Sam Tancredi (#4) and Megan Reed (#22) also added tries. Alex Dimarco made 8 of the 11 conversions.
In the U18 match, Emily Henrich at inside center scored a hat trick, while other tries were scored by Delia Hellander at fullback, Emma Conrad and Annie Rolf both props, Allie Ramage at wing and Liz Wilson at flanker. Four conversions were also made.
The U18s took a 48-0 lead before conceding the last try to Rugby Québec for the 48-5 win.
On Sunday July 31st, the second of the two matches between these teams will be held.
