Harlequins Rugby Union Press Release: July 26, 2016

The Harlequins Rugby Union is celebrating 150 years as a rugby club. They will travel to San Francisco, California this week for a pre-season training camp to prepare for the 2016/17 Aviva Premiership season.

Arriving in San Francisco on Saturday 30th July, the Club will spend the week training at the San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club, departing back to the UK on Sunday 7th August.

Commenting on the tour, Diprose said: “We are incredibly excited about travelling to San Francisco later this week. This trip provides the squad with the ability to prepare for our 150th season in a completely new environment.

“Most importantly though, it provides Harlequins the platform to expand its name, and the game of rugby, to a captive audience which we hope will grow participation and awareness in sport’s biggest market.”
