The Santa Monica Rugby Club Sevens will be held this Saturday at Drollinger Field at Loyola Marymount University.
Two clubs from the Southern California Region will qualify for the USA Rugby Club Sevens Nationals at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado on August 13-14, 2016.
Belmont Shore has already qualified for USA Club Rugby Sevens Nationals. Santa Monica holds a narrow 3 point lead over OMBAC, who won the Sun Splash 7s, for the second spot heading into this final tournament.
With the top two teams qualifying for nationals, tomorrow is the last tournament and points are awarded as follows:
Winner – 22
Runner up – 19
3rd – 17
4th – 15
