PRO Rugby Selects Luke Gross TO Coach Sacramento

PRO Rugby Press Release: February 4, 2016

“PRO Rugby is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Gross as Head Coach for the Sacramento team in PRO Rugby’s 2016 inaugural season. Gross represented the USA Eagles 62 times and in 3 World Cups. In the UK, he played professionally for the Harlequins, Llanelli and the Newcastle Falcons. Since 2009, Gross has performed a variety of coaching roles for USA Rugby in both the High Performance and Coach Development fields. He is also acknowledged as one of the foremost authorities in forward play in American rugby.”

Luke joins Paul Keeler, Head Coach in San Francisco as the first two coaches named by PRO Rugby. San Diego was named as the third city and two more cities should be announced very soon.

The League is slated to begin practice by mid March and begin League play April 10th. The season will end of August 7th with the last three weeks of June designated for International Rugby matches.
